The Dos and Don’ts of
V-tip Maintenance & Aftercare

Do:

• Schedule a move-up appointment every 6–8 weeks to keep your Flat Tip Keratin Bonds secure and prevent excess tension from grown-out strands.
• Wash your hair with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to protect both your natural hair and the keratin bonds.
• Gently brush your hair daily with a loop brush or wide-tooth comb, starting at the ends and working up to avoid tugging near the bonds.
• Dry your hair completely after washing—keratin bonds should never stay damp for long periods.
• Sleep with your hair in a loose braid or ponytail to minimize friction and tangling overnight.

Don’t:

• Apply conditioner, oils, or serums directly on the keratin bonds, as this can cause them to loosen or slip.
• Expose the Keratin Tip bonds to extreme heat (like flat irons or blow dryers on high settings) which may soften or melt the keratin.
• Tug or pull on the extensions when detangling—this stresses both
